Default Skipping during acceleration when engine is warm

So I noticed this issue about a month ago when I was driving my 30 Tudor. When the engine is cold, it runs and accelerates with no issue. Once the engine warms up to operating temp, I have bucking and skipping during acceleration. I had a Zenith on the car, but am now running a Marvel with the same issues.

I have re-timed the engine, changed the oil, cleaned and set the points, re-gapped and cleaned the plugs, and cleaned out the whole fuel system.

Any thoughts?

Try a new condenser on the distributor. They often act funny when hot but do OK when cold.

Report back.

I agree with above. A coil could also display similar symptoms. I once had a condenser that would only act up when under heavy load.

Possible plug fowling.

Loosen the gas cap so that air can get inside the tank and then take the car for a drive. Problems arise with a plugged cap vent when the weather is hot - like now.

I agree with the condenser post. A very easy way to check this is to take a new, or known condenser, and using four jumper wires, connect the ground of the cond to ground, and the small end to the passenger side of the coil. This puts the new cond in parallel with the old and if your car likes it, it will let you know. We just had one like this.

Question on the (4) Jumper wires?
Should it be two one to ground and the 2nd to the pass side of the coil?

thanks,

Every time I've thought a problem was fuel, it turned out to be ignition. Check everything in the ignition system you haven't already checked, you'll find the culprit.

You want to ground the cond. then go from center of cond to pass side of coil. Guess that’s just two jumpers.
