'32 Windshield opening...
Do the adjusting bars go up or down when the windshield is closed (closed car?)
(David- I looked in the book but found little information about the windshield opening except a comment about bugs at sixty miles per hour. No photos?)

That's correct, down on North American passenger cars and sedan deliveries (the curved version of the arms) and up on the other North American commercial vehicles and trucks with closed cabs (the straight version of the arms).
As for photos in the book, I count at least 20 photos therein (6 in Appendix 1 alone) where the position of the windshield arms are evident. |
