Default Radio Schematics

The radio in my '36 does not work.

Anyone have a schematic, or a link to one?

I do some work on old tube guitar amps, so I'm pretty sure I can resurrect it without too much trouble. I'd like a drawing before I go tearing into it, though.

This manual for the 35-36 radio may well have a schematic diagram in it for yours.

Here's a site that says they have a schematic.

Those radios are pretty much standard design of the day and are quite easy to reverse engineer. They now make solid state vibrators that plug in and most of the caps and resistors can be had at Radio Shack.
Once you get the voltages up to snuff, the rest will be easy.

Ross, There was more than one radio for 35-36. Google Nostalgiaair.org, go to the make of your radio then to model such as Philco 1440, FT6, FT9 etc. They show both the Schematic , drawings and parts numbers you can print out. Keith oh

Ross,
You may not need these but I have rebuilt several phiicos (40 Ford F-1740 and 47 ford zenith radio) and was able to find everything needed including solid state vibrators and capacitors. Be sure to change out the buffer cap. If you have worked on guitar amps, you have probably run across the first one on this list, they have pretty much everything. As Keith oh says, nostalgiaair.org is the place to go for schematics. Their forum is great as well. Bob
