Default 12V Conversion wiring by the key area

I looked through this site and I did not find the answer for this... Please help. I am doing a 12V conversion on a 1939 ford pickup.. I got almost everything ready. but I am confused about the wiring around the On and Off switch the key and the start button. I would like to keep the stock function of turning the key then the on switch then the starter button. If there is any diagram that would help or any ideas. And do I have to change the sending unit to a 12v or just use the reducer by the gauge
Thanks every one.

The wiring stays the same. You will need to change the starter solenoid to a 12 Volt unit. They make one that works just like your 6 Volt that works from the button , two large post and one small one. Sending units stay the same. Reduce the current to the gauge.

Fifth Avenue Internet Garage has a good booklet on the subject of voltage conversion plus they have their own products to aid in the conversion.
