Proper colors
Have a 46 woody. Original 6 cyl. engine.
I believe the engine color is light blue. What is the proper color for the bell housing, and the transmission? Thanks, Paul Please email response to: [email protected] |

Light? Dark? I suppose that's how we all see it (differently). I'd suggest you buy the engine paint from a reputable dealer. In this case, Bill Hirsch gets my vote. The "bell housing" is integral of the block so accordingly, it too is blue. The transmission is painted the same blue as the engine. All machined surfaces should be absent of paint. The shifting arms on the side cover are black, the rivets holding the arms in place are left in their natural (not painted) finish.
