Help with Ford shock absorber part numbers
I'm trying to replace 2 Ford rear shock absorbers from the 50's -60's. they are on a old street rod with modified rear axle set up so "year/application' chart wont work. One is marked:
Autolite AJ 18U 60B REAR The other is marked" 4146429 Bot have Ford Script Logos on them. does anyone know of a guide where I can refer to closed and extended sizes/dimensions should I not be able to reference these part numbers? Thanks in advance |

In the olden days, most shock manufacturers had a text giving the dimensions you need. MONROE was big back then. I am sure they still have the texts but it should also be on the net somewhere.
