Default 1948 Ford F1

Did I goof up? This jack, I was told, came from a 1948 F1. The extension was welded on and the former owner said he thought it was an add on. I cut it off, but now have second thoughts as to whether I did the right thing. What say you, is the extension correct or not.

The extension looks correct for the 48-52 F1 jacks. Lin Stacey is the expert.

commonly called a flip/flop jack, Ford starting using that jack in 35/36 era, if it has a hole drilled in one corner of the base then it came out of a truck--hole is used to fasten jack to floor by pass door rear near cab corner, otherwise it is a car jack
