Default '41 P/U project

I've been working on this the last few months. I painted it in the garage/driveway. I have some things to finish up. New glass is ordered.
Running a stock '50 Merc V8, with trk 4 spd.

Yes, I painted the cab by itself, then the individual pieces for this one and my '40, in the driveway. A lot of wet sanding.

I worked with my painter on the color sanding and he did the buffing out. His paint work was very good with only a little orange peel but, I decided to finish it out. As it turned out it took four hours of sanding and buffing for each fender, hood and doors. Lots of work but that is why a good paint job costs so much.

I took the three speed transmission out of my 1946 pick up and installed the non syncro four speed. I have never regreted it. I use the pick up almost everyday and the granny gear is really handy for crawling along on rough ground. Double clutching makes it as smooth as a full syncro transmission. 1940 and 1941 are my favorite pick ups. It is great to see the nice work being done here to preserve them.

Thanks guys, actually the '40 color is a generic green I bought from TCP Global (it was too John Deerish for my taste) so I added some white, and some black until I came up with that color.
The '41, again was just a generic color, I addded white to it to come up with what I liked.
