Default Please help on '37 drivers door lock/latch

I took a Father's Day ride in my '37 tudor Sunday and had a great ride. Upon arrival back home, however, after shutting down the engine I pushed down the handle to open the door and the door would not open I then stuck my hand out the window figuring that the outside handle might do the trick but no luck, the handle moved down and loosely stayed there. Today I tried to force the outside and inside handles to no avail. I probably need a new latch which I have but can anyone help me get get that door open.

It looks like I will have to remove the upholstery on the jammed door so that I can free up whatever is jammed. Has anyone had this problem? Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks,
Rich

Removing the door panel and looking inside is the only way I know to find out (hopefully) wants wrong. Once in awhile you can find NOS lock assembles on ebay.
