Regarding Cool Hand Lurker's misfortunate experience: That would have been a bad experience and a big expense and loss of time for you, sorry. I haven't been there for 10 years and at that time there was frenetic trading in the parking lot beginning early Thursday morning. We used to leave from here early Wednesday morning and get there around 6-7:00pm, get a good steak, get up early, get a good breakfast at Best Western and get to the parking lot before it got too full. 'Always had a blast, though it is a lot of work. This year we've been packing and fixing up the trailer for the last four days but didn't reserve a motel early enough and had to get lodging in Anadarko. The forecast is for sunny days with highs of around 50*F. It was mentioned that trading now starts on Wednesday outside the grounds. 'Looking forward to another good time. Where is a good place to eat Friday night?

Jim Huseby, my favorite eating places are

Jakes Rib: steak, catfish, bbq, etc., overwhelming portions - get there by 6pm, fills up fast. Blackberry cobbler is the best.

Western Sizzling: steaks and buffet. The buffet has everything and is very large. Lots of seating

I hit them both when in town, come hungry, both are excellent.

I will be in spots FK-49-50-51 South west side of north Bldg. outside. I have a complete set of new spokes for a Hayes wheel,a Hayes Wheel, a couple of Fatman Wheels, a number of locking steering wheels, Curtain Irons for a CCab, a nice selection of Hasslers and parts, and lot of other T, A, and early V8 parts.
