snowbird or snowmobile equipment info
I have some equipment for a model A or T snowbird or snowmobile. I hear them called both.
My truck was setup to accept this equipment as an add on. I have no use for this stuff so I'm looking to sell it all. Any idea where to start, Forums, blogs or any website that would attract such interested buyers? Below is the truck I bought with the snow equipment on it. Oh! and I did not pay anywhere near that price for the truck. I bought it from the guy who did pay that price. Any advice or help would be appreciated. https://www.smartmotorguide.com/L51923565 |

Are your parts for an A or T or they fit both???
There was also a Sandmobile Model T kit which was exported to Egypt!

I'm not sure they will just bolt on to a model T without some modifications. For a model A you would need to make a bracket for the spring steel used to hold downward pressure on the front rear wheel.

I also have the front backing plates that have the mount for the front skies.

I got their website from the pics. It's very expensive to buy new from what I see. To rich for my blood. |

In the box were original bits, I think, axles and stuff in like new condition. They do make some of the simpler bits I gather. At the time the Aussie dollar was way above the US dollar. Would be quite a novelty here.

Re: snowbird or snowmobile equipment info
There was a "snowmobile" for sale here in New England late this winter. Obviously not a totally restored vehicle - more along the lines of "barn find" pickup. And obvious the kit was "cobbled together" from bits and pieces, possible even "home brew."
The ask was $8000. Which considering a barn fresh Model A at $4000 kinds of back-handedly scopes out a value. Joe K

Yes I see this is a very expensive hobby. New wood and steel skies sell new for around $1500. I could not find the tracks but I'm sure they are very pricy themselves. I see from Updraughts pictures a new kit was selling for $8,000 nine years ago.
