Default Spindle difference

Is there a difference between early and late spindles on a Model A?
Most of the spindles I've seen are rectangular shaped where the backing plate bolts on. The spindles that came on my early 28 are round backed but other wise the same.
Thanks, Bill

I checked Vinces site first but didn,t see anything on spindles

You are correct, the early 28 had the round spindles, then they had flat sides for later 28. I'll bet the Service Bulletins might point this out, otherwise the Judging standards must talk about it.
