Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
I see you are selling off the original pieces from this survivor on the swap meet.
In response to one of your ads: You have stated in your ad that the V-8 60hp radiator and the V-8 85hp radiator are the same. They are not the same and they are not interchangeable. |

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
Is this what the hamb is like? I haven't gone there because I heard there was infighting and strife. I don't need that in my hobby.....

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
Hey FrankWest, it was on Craig's list for a couple weeks, but it didn't show well because it was crammed into a one car garage with no electric and 52 years of junk piled around it.. I rubbed through the dirt with my finger and saw shinny paint so I decided to take a chance.. He couldn't find the keys so it made it difficult to move because of the locked steering wheel.. I had to crawl through the back seat and carefully remove the in tacked cardboard to pop open the trunk.. Took the door lock to a locksmith who made a key and it also fit the steering lock.. Drilled the trunk lock out and replaced with new lock and key... It also had the tool pouch with tools and jack with separate base.. I felt like I won the lottery with this find.. You always hope to find one like this... I'm sorry a lot of you don't like what I'm doing with it but I'm excited to start on it...

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
Milo, hope I am not a bother but could you please post a picture of the tools and jack? I just don't know where else I would find someone with an original car so similar to mine. Thanks

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
Hey, You did real Good!
My car is a 1933 and has all original power train so I drive pretty slow.. In fact, it feels like I am going 90mph when I go 35 mph. If you plan to install all that power in you car, make sure the car won;t fall apart when you reach 125mph! Funny Munsters episode Herman buys a used car! Worth watching when you have the time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnRKs-JV2Lg Last edited by FrankWest; 11-28-2015 at 11:50 AM. |

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
The tool kit is missing the screwdriver and pliers. Otherwise looks good.

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
I have to agree with Martin, Before you install the SBC, re-think the suspension and brakes. Also the rear axle might pose a problem with that much power. Now you can solve all those problems with an aftermarket frame and $$$$$$$. Or a nice 258/C4. I have a nice 248 59A for sale.

Re: FOUND!! V8-60 sedan
Ol'Ron, You are right, I plan on upgrading the suspension, rear end and brakes.. I want to keep the outside and inside stock appearing with it's original paint and worn interior.. I want a stock dash and keep the stock column and wheel or maybe a 40 column and wheel...
