Which is the wood recommended for the woodwork on Aīs.... Fordīs use the american ash wood (fresno americano)
Itīs possible use an another wood like the oak...
One property of the ash wood are the flexibility and this is the reason by Fordīs use this ash wood on the Tīs wheels...
The ash wood resist the water?, or the rot...

this should be another thread , a very good topic for those doing their own fabrication work as the oak tends to be handy in the shop it ends up in the place of wood that is more suitable for the job.. good work!!

I agree, and notice the trailer skirting for streamlined airflow. I'm starting to see more semi's using trailer skirts for better mileage.

We visited the Elkhart IN, RV museum and they had a Model ‘A’ camper on display. The pictures are not the best, I took them with my cell phone, but notice the wood burning stove.

Now THAT'S an RV! FOUR of my favorite things... a '30-'31 chassis, a clerestory roofline right off a Victorian railroad passenger car, wood heat, and an interior as cosy as the main cabin of a Gloucester fishing schooner.

I want one.

Here is picture that I picked up at a flea market last week, it was big enough that I had to scan it 3 times to show it. Does anyone know what the slogan over the top of the bed is supposed to read? Thanks .....Clyde

If someone could scan all the photos of the Commercial vehicles that were published in the Ford News publication (1928-1931), we would have a ton of other photos!

"It had to be good to get where it is."

That's a Coca-Cola ad slogan from the late 20's.

I have a question about the model A body styles, in the STEVE PLUCKER study "LETTERS, NUMBERS AND CODES" figure the (canopy top) 65-A light commercial body, this body is the same like a Huckster?
