Default 37 front fender repair

Looking for suggestions on how to fab the bottom edge of the front fenders were they meet the running boards. Both are rotted off. Anyone have a pic? Does anyone reproduce these like the rear fenders?

One of the easiest and most forgiving places to learn some tin work. I find that whenever I want to learn something new, there is a plethora of you tube videos to help you learn how.

I use these. I only have one left. I should have saved the others from the pile of fenders I scrapped.

You might try making a hammer form out of medium density fiberboard, getting some 19ga. sheet metal (maybe from an old fender) and hammering it out your self. There are several different you-tube video's on how to do this or Ron Covell has a video on how to do this (and a lot more) where he builds a '36 fender from scratch.

On our 35 we used the running board and a 1/16 piece of steel and traced the outline of the mounting flange of the running board on it and cut and drilled the holes, then bolted the fender to the car and the mounting plate we made to the running board (Also bolted to the car) then cut the sheet metal and form it to the gap, tacked it into place. checked all the alignments of the fender to the car, fender to the running board, make any adjustments needed, re-tack it, then you can remove the fender and do any final welding, hammer and dolly work and you should be golden.
