Default Tail light original or?

Hey guys I found a tail light, the body looks correct with a duo lamp inscription, but the inscription isn't good or some letters are worn, the lens was changed and the license bracket I think haven't an inscription.
What do you thing? There are some original parts?

It can't be original. Ford wouldn't have spelled "STOP" wrong.

Looks correct to me. I like the PARE! I'd be sort of afraid to use it here in the USA though. People would probably drive right up my tail pipe trying to figure out what it ment.

I seem to recall that the duo lamp inscription was either raised or indented for the early Canadian "tuna can". Also, I am surprised that the "can" is not cracked in several places, many original ones are. ????

Looks like a great find to me and definately original. I love the "pare" stop sign and would live to have one. My guess is that it came from Brazil as that is Portuguese. I have see "alto" stop signs in drum tail lamps the past from Spanish-speaking countries.

I know this is not what the thread is about but just as a point of clarification, the verb PARAR means "to stop" and PARE, in this case, means STOP in Spanish. I don't know about portuguese.

"Alto" means "halt" Spanish.

This is from my Sister's Husband who speaks both Spanish and Portuguese (among other things):

Quote:
Pare is the command (imperative) of "stop" in Spanish.
In Portuguese the command "stop" is "parar" which happens to be the infinitive of "to stop" in both Spanish and Portuguese.

Probably got more of an answer than you wanted.

I know this is not what this thread is about but I thought this picture might have an answer. I just got home from Rio De Janeiro yesterday and this is a picture of some friends there.
