Steps to install anti-rattle felt in steering column
What do I need to take apart the steering column to install the anti-rattle felts. I guess I need a step by step and what to watch out for. Also how long should it take to perform this repairs. What else should I consider doing while I have it apart.
Thanks |

Re: Steps to install anti-rattle felt in steering column
If you are referring to the spark and throttle control rod anti rattle felts, that is a big job, and Les Andrews walks you through it, as stated above. Is the steering loose? If so, you might consider rebuilding the entire steering box. That requires removing the steering column from the car. Reassembling your rebuilt steering column will be the best time to install the control rod anti rattlers.

I just need the anti-rattle. I also have a convertible which would help if I have to pull the entire steering column.
