Default '47 Super Deluxe 15" Wheel Trim Rings Depth

Can anyone tell me what the depth should be for 15" trim rings for my '47 super deluxe? My wheels are 15" with 5 on 5 1/2" spacing. I found some rings that are 1 3/4" deep and some that are 1 5/8" deep. Not sure which to get. I do appreciate any help I can get.

The original size wheels on 1946 through 1948 Fords is 16", so your wheels must have come from the same year Mercurys which did come standard with 15" wheels. As for Trim Rings, locate some that were originally fitted to these model Mercurys. The 46 Mercury had narrow Trim Rings, while the later 48 Mercury had wide Trim Rings.
