Default Kube - please contact me

Mike - I have discovered a Ford Passenger and Commercial Cars, Body Parts List, 1939 and 1940. I have no idea if this is a reproduction (nothing to indicate, anyway).
I also have no idea from whence this arrived in my stash of "stuff!"
Regardless, it is yours if you desire: send a mailing address, Good Sir!

Original body parts list are for one year only. The original 1940 body parts list is also a hardware book with pages of hardware and window regulators and such in the rear of the book. Ford typically published hardware books every two years 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40 prior to the war. There is a aftermarket publication of the 39 & 40 body parts book it is smaller in size than the Ford books and is without the hardware section.

Thanks Terry: This one does have window regulators, etc. Again, I'm way out my league here, and thinking that "Mr. 40" would know if he has a use for it. ...... Or anyone else, for that matter.

Marcus, You are without question very considerate and I thank you for that.
From what you describe, it sounds as if you have a reprinted catalog.
The authentic '40 parts book has a blue cover and is the standard 8 1/2" x 11".
If I recall correctly (oh oh) the '39 has a tan(ish) cover and is also 8 1/2" x 11".

Well, you must be correct about the repop: this book is 5 1/2 x 8, blue / black cover. Regardless, yours if you want it (V8Coopman provided your address) - just let me know.

I have been carefully going through the Body Parts List to identify my needs for a 77B. For me most notable is what it does not list. I have been curious about some small metal plates found in original door panels and the slanted internal body brace. Neither is mentioned in the list and the reason seems to be that they are part of a greater assembly and included in that assembly. The 8 1/2" X 11" size is needed as the listing can be a challenge to the reader. Over the V8 years the Body Parts Lists evolved from a stark list to something quite useful by 1940. Earlier versions would likely be of interest to those that wanted all printed mention of their own car. Your needs will vary. Fred A

Fred, Keep in mind that these parts books list ONLY the parts Ford offered for service. Not everything was offered.

Marcus, thank you for your kind offer but I really have no need for the manual. I do have a number of parts books, each a different date that for the most part have small but sometimes differences that "solve" a research issue for me.

You have certainly brought a smile to my ugly mug with your kindness

Over the years I have found special collections such as a library, have hard bound copies of the original soft cover books and sometimes additional pages are added into the binding. One of these, a 38 hardware book, is for sale now on the auction site. I have found the library identification stamp inside the cover of some.

Gentlemen: There is new owner for the manual - thank you all for your assistance and for the additions to my meager education!
