Cabriolet trim piece
I have a 1930 Cabriolet and I need the small escutcheon that goes on the top end of the landau iron between the top material and the landau iron. Need both sides and I don't see them at the usual part stores. Any suggestions on a source would be appreciated.

A&L made them a long time ago; not sure they still do.

Re: Cabriolet trim piece
Is this what you need? Or the metal piece that goes on top of this?

Re: Cabriolet trim piece
You probably will need both the rubber spacer and the chrome plated cover that fits over the rubber spacer . Norm

Steve should know if they are available 1 800 321 1931 I see Joop posted A&L info. I think they are more irregular in shop of late. I hear Alan is not there full time and some personnel retired. Hard to find anyone these days that can/will meet the requirements and needs for a small run production shop. Last edited by Oldbluoval; 01-27-2019 at 08:29 AM. |

Re: Cabriolet trim piece
As an update. A&L does not have this part. I purchased the escutcheon for the window crank for a later cabriolet. It fits quite well. I ground off the little tabs that would normally press into the upholstery. It stands off the top by about 1/8" so you can see some black. I think if I reshaped the rubber seal a bit it would fit perfect.
