Welcome to the Barn! I’ve found it a great source of help & knowledge. I have a ‘35 Tudor that was such a great deal I had to buy, LOL! Was my 1st Early Ford! Was always a mid 50’s to Early 70’s GM guy. The Barn rescued me & project turned out well. Some on the Barn love stock some like a few Modern to Performance touch’s. Leads to some lively but fun & helpful threads. Remember the only ignorant question is the one not asked, LOL!

Cool looking car Anthony, So this thing is turning into a treasure trove. It had a box with what I thought was the generator behind the drivers seat, after pulling it out I realize it is a alternator conversion of some sort. Now behind the rear seat, that's where the fun begins. Take a look at the pictures I know what most of it is, but not sure about the red handled tool. Kinda looks like a seal puller? Also looks like most of the factory tools are present. Missing what? It also came with an extra set of front seats.

looks like you are missing the crank ext. bar-has a cross on one end and a square tapered on the other-goes into the tapered square in the end of the lug wrench

Also, the red handled thingy is a left & right ratcheting multi-tipped screwdriver.
You might have to get some penetrant fluid in the area where the tips are.
You pull the multi-tips out, and then turn the tip you want to use, outward.

Lanny's right. I remember my dad having one of those. There should be a little lever right below the red handle that you move to activate the ratcheting mechanism. As I remember, there was a phillips tip and two different sized conventional tips.

Hi Everyone. Nice snag Fasttoys! I inherited a '36 Phaeton and bought a '35 Fordor Touring a few years ago.

I've found Third Generation Automotive a great resource for original or correct repro parts for my projects. There's a thread floating around on recommended vendors somewhere.

I'd ask him about the bits to fix up your headlights.

If those are '35 water pumps you might want to send them to Skip Haney in FL for a rebuild. He can do the dizzy too. And fix you up a couple new coils and tested condensers you send him.

Your tool kit is missing a straight blade screwdriver and a spark plug wrench and a grease gun and an adjustable wrench.

Keep posting on this thread and it will become like a history timeline.

If you don't have one yet, you'll love the V-8 Club's 1935-36 book. It's about $30 and available on the V-8 Foundation page and the V-8 club site.

Thanks everyone, Ill check out Book and website, what am I missing on the headlights? In the spare parts there are 2 Bob Drake buckets with replaceable bulbs, maybe Ii need glass lenses?

So I starting a bit of a check-out and some testing, Ran a compression check only to find it was very low, as in 0 on 3 cylinders and max of 50 PSI. A couple or shots of oil helped and a bit of penetrating oil and now I have some compression across the board. I figure if I can get it to hit a few licks it can only get better. With that as a goal I started looking at the fuel system, as you can see, the gas was the color of root beer and smelled dead. I tried to pull the drain plug on the tank to no avail. Set up a 12 volt pump and used a jump-it box to pump about 2 gallons of root beer, put 1 gallon of fresh gas and repeated this 3 times. I think it should be good enough to fire it off, time will tell. Final picture is new fuel compared to whats coming out of tank now.

Sounds like you have it all under control, but just to double check, was the throttle plate blocked open when you were doing the compression test?

Looks like a headlight conversion to my eye. Original ones have a goofy shaped bulb with a PITA mount using three spring loaded attachments!
