Default Newbie needs help

Hello to all,

My name is Guy, I work in car maintenance department of P&T Luxembourg as mechanic. Actual I have to work on a 1949 Ford F1 Panel Truck recently acquired in Germany by our PostMusée. Earlier the Luxemburg post had these vehicles, but today here only some old cars fan's them know.

The pictures
1.The day of the purchase

2.Painting in the colour of the Luxembourg post
3+4.Public presentation

5.Start to the first old car's road tour
6.After this tour in our garage because the car not correctly drives.

Problems were, carburetor, gearbox (2 gear jump’s out), rear axle noise
I love and drive old cars, nevertheless, this is my first historical US car. Therefore, I searched in the web information and spare parts and have found this forum.

Now I wait for parts coming from the USA. However, some parts of the rear axle I cannot find.
Besides, I hope that to her can help me this to find.

I search for a Dana 41 axle the bearings, shims, Diff. shaft and gear's
Does somebody know where I these parts can find?

I hope my text that to her can understands because I with the help of translation software write.

Greetings from Luxembourg
Guy

Try contacting Van Pelt Sales and Joblot Automotive here in the U.S. You can find them using Google. Good luck on your parts hunting and restoration. Oh, and please post some photos of the truck, we love photos. Auf Wiedersehen.
