A&L, (860) 693-0112. Small selection but they manufacture most of what they sell and it is TOP quality.

I agree with Charlie that A & L is an important addition. Not a large selection but what they have is excellent quality. I patronize them regularly.

Re: What other parts dealers are there?
Burts, many original parts. I just bought a 28/29 shift lever for the unbelievable price of $65 that has been restored and re-nickeled. I couldn't get one plated for that

A & L do not have a website but they do have a small about 10 or 12 page catalogue.

Re: What other parts dealers are there?
Bert's, A&L and Birdhaven are about all I buy from. Bert's and A&L because of the quality of what they sell, but I sometimes buy from Birdhaven as with major price jumps from different rns they are often the last to run out of stuff from the run before and so are often the last to increase the prices. I find this true with gear sets, tires and sometimes bearings. Not much else has major leaps in prices. Rod

Re: What other parts dealers are there?
off topic, but do any of my fellow old-timers remember whatever exactly happened to Rick's parts in Kansas? And what ever happened to Page's in New Hampshire?

Re: What other parts dealers are there?
ericr,
There was a detailed post about Rick's in Kansas City on the old Fordbarn. I seems he got in trouble with the IRS (maybe he was a conservative - ha ha). I think he might have been shut down due the IRS problems sometime in the 80's. I still remember the cheesy Rick Packs he sold. I bought a lot of stuff for my 29 sports coupe from his company as I lived in Kansas at the time. There weren't near the number of vendors as now back in the 60's and 70's and the parts were pretty bad. It was Warshawsky's and Rick's for me. I am sure there might have been a few more parts suppliers, but I didn't know about them. Rusty Nelson |

Re: What other parts dealers are there?
Ricks was also in court with the Kansas Attorney general, as many complained to them about Ricks habit of accepting full payment for a parts order, and only sending part of the order, and keeping the rest of the payment , and not refunding the money paid for the parts not shipped.
