Default Trunk lift arms..Ford 1946question!

Hi all!
I need repair these trunk lift arm. I can not get the original spring for each arm.
Due to new restriction un my country I can not buy spare parts in USA or another countries.

Have any one of you install another system? such pneumatic arms?

I saw can be install in hood lift arm I attach a pic.

A friend of mine put the kit in his 46. It works fine. You should be able to buy the arms and ball sockets at a auto store in your country. It would be just selecting the right length of the arms.

The trunk on my '41 wouldn't stay up even with new springs. I disassembled the entire unit, welded up and redrilled all the holes, made a new pin that the spring attaches to and reassembled. Worked like new. Once they get worn in the pivot points they don't work correctly
