Default 29 Model A Rumble Seat Back Cushion

Would appreciate any info how 29 Roadster rumble seat back cushion should be/can be fastened to rumble seat lid. When I close my rumble seat the back cushion often comes loose from the lid. It has brackets on the seat frame than hang over lid rods. However, it's not secure. How can I get this back seat cushion to stay fastened to rumble seat lid when opening & closing.

Take the cushion out, on the bottom edge there should be two wire clips that need turned down to allow you to install fasteners thru holes in the lid. Can post pic later if that helps.

Oh, the top solid bracket slips into slots at the top of the lid.

Thanks Steve. Pic would help if you have time. My top brackets are currently loose from the lid so the seat back flops forward slightly when I lower lid. However, bottom of the seat back seems fastened to something. Didn't try to remove entirely until I know a little more.

Below: Reshaping a slot that has never been used.

Lower tabs mount here. Originally used #12-24 screws.

Had same trouble with mine. Look at bottom theres two slated brackets attached to the bottom of cushion spring. I tried to put the top brackets in the slots on the lid and tighten the bracket on the bottom looked pretty solid but after a few trips it was loose again. so pushing down hard and tighten the screws on the bottom again the bottom cushion would not go under it to get to it'd peg that hold it in place. it was a new bottom spring and fusion the back of the fusion needed to be less than 5 1/2 inches and it wouldn't collapse that much and that was what was pushing the back cushion out of the top slots. I decided to cut the back springs one round into. it worked.

I also put another screw in the bottom bracket slot so it could not come up
