rear window replacement

Getting ready to replace the rear windows and can use some tips and advice. I've removed the back window molding and not quite sure if the windows and seals just pop out. Or is there some sealant that goes onto the body before the glass and seal get put in place? It looks like the seal wraps around a portion of the body. Any help or advice is always greatly appreciate.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it's a 37 2dr slantback I picked up a couple of years ago.

Zeke, this is an easy one.
Cut the old rubber seal with a razor. That'll make it easier to remove the glass, etc.
Once you have the body surfaces cleaned up, it's time to install the new glass.
Install the rubber over the glass.
Install a piece of nylon rope (weed eater stuff - .06 - .08" diameter) in the channel of the rubber. The ends of this cord should overlap perhaps 10" or so at a corner.
It's easier if you have help with the next steps.
One guy sets the window within seal against body from the inside of the car and applies a little pressure to it.
The guy on the outside wraps each end of the cord around his respective hand(s)

Pull the cord outward slowly and work the lip of the seal over the body (metal) edge.
I spray the seal and cord with a lot of glass cleaner for lubrication.
Go slow and apply more glass cleaner as you might feel necessary.
You'll want the cord to "finish" at a corner as the glass is stronger there and less likely to break.
Properly installed, you should not need any sealant. Ford didn't think so either. If you are compelled to use sealant be certain to get one that is compatible with laminated glass.
Many (incorrect) silicone products will cause glass to delaminate.
