Default Brake drum ID please.

This has been bugging me for years. I have four drums the same as the red ones in the first pic which are the same as the two on the axle in the second pic. What is the exact year for these drums ? Are they Ford or Mercury ? Note that they are smooth with no ridges or bumps.

I'd be interested if anyone recognises the type, too, as I have a couple like that. OP is in Holland, I am in the UK. I have a hunch that this type were not mainstream USA production. I have only seen references to behind the hub type, or in front of the hub types, no reference to a 5 on 5.5" integral hub and drum.

It's just a hunch, though, and I don't mind being told I guessed wrong.

Anyone seen this type in the USA?

Mart.

Would,nt have a clue Mart, But the frst pic was from an Aussie Hamb'er and the second pic from an American Hamb'er. Notice the second pic has brake backing plates with no raised ridge around the outer diameter. Just flat to the edge. So is it late 1939 or early 1940 only ?

I have a pair on a '40 rear axle. I will pull one later today and look for markings. Until reading this thread I hadn't noticed they have the hub cast into them.
There are no markings on my drums indicating manufacturing information.
I believe this is a very low miles axle so may be original??
