Default Photo of the attached "crowner" needed...

Would anyone have a photo of what the attachment of a "crowner" looks like on an unmolested 1928-1929 Coupe or Roadster Rear Spare Wheel Assembly with trunk assembly?

I am in need of one.

Thanks.

From memory, I seem to recall Doc Kalinka doing a piece in the Model A News, with a picture.

Thanks Bick and Bill....

But all I see is the crowner...not how it is attached to the bolt head on an unmolested 28-29 Coupe or Roadster.

Kind of a poor quality picture, but all I've got.

On some accessory mountings for aircraft engines they use tab type locking devices but they have to be paired with another bolt or they have to have a slotted bolt for a key way locking device. Those appear to be more for a anti tamper device to keep bolt secure from easy removal. If that's the case, the tabs would be bent up after installation. The only other thing would be a special tool for installation to hold them during torque up. In that case, they would still go on the bolt before installation but the tool would be designed grip on the crown.

This is one of those uncommon things that even relatively knowledgeable Ford enthusiasts may not be aware of.

I thought my Nov. 28 business coup was "unmolested". Wrong! This what i found when looking for the elusive 'crowner'.
