Default Re: single carb distributor question

A few years back I poster a thread on tuning a flathead. I think it'd time for a re-post. My friend Richard ran these test with a "Road Rig" which recorded the ignition advance along with the AF,Tach, Vac. This was recorded for examination after the test drive.
What we discovered was: When you think it running right, it ain't. The best part of a properly tuned engine is you can get great fuel economy with out loosing ant power. Thes your rings last longer, because your cylinders are not washed with gas from a rich mixture in cruise, where most engine run 90% of the time.
