Split rims do not have a drop center. You can not get the tire off the rim without removing the rim from the car. The rim needs to be able to lap over itself at the split.
This reduces the rim size and lets you pull a side of tire off rim and replace the tube.

With the keeper off (the one that locks the rims together), a tire tool or large screwdriver can be used to pry one side of split rim up and on top of the other side. This allows the rim to undersize and lets you do the tube and tire.
Some new tires seem to be a little undersize and then a rim spreader is helpful to push the tire back out where the two sides of the rim butt up at the split. I own a rim spreader, but I rarely use it.

A jack can be used to close the rim.

Give it a shot Will it might be easier than you think. I did 5 of them on my '27. Didn't need a stretcher or a jack. The image shown by Tmodelman will work fine if necessary.
