Default #51 6 bulb source? UPDATE

I need a 6 volt miniature bayonet #51 bulb for my Signal Stat 900 directional light system. Does anyone know a bricks and mortar store that sells these bulbs?

Thanks!
Dave

See #13 for update.

try napa? they have alot of oddball parts, maybe an electrical supply store? a real one not menards or lamp depo or something i mean an industrial place like fastenal, or grainger.

sometimes old old hardware stores still have a variety of bulbs around.

i know you said physical store but amazon has a 10 pack for $8...

Around my area we have a store called Battery Plus. They're a chain store. They carry a larg assortment of light bulbs. Check to see if you have one in your area. And give them a try.

You should be able to find one in your area also called BA9S. Since Radio Shack no longer supplies parts. I did a search on the internet for #51 bulb and there are a lot of LED bulbs that will replace that bulb and should last you a lifetime. Bulb Town has the for less that $.75.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll start with NAPA in the morning.

The back story: after trying a variety of things to get the indicator lights in the Signal Stat to light up, I finally took it apart and found........no bulb!

The trouble is all the LED bulbs I've seen are only for negative ground systems, even if they claim they work on my positive ground car. I had to leave the business a negative on ebay because he lied about the application and wouldn't refund my money.

Hi Tom,
How/why does a bulb know which side is ground?
I have never tried to put hot to ground and vice versa but I would THINK a simple bulb should work.
No?

Regular bulbs don't care about polarity, but LED needs the current to flow the correct direction.

I had to buy a box of ten...about $8.50 for the box, so $0.85 for one bulb.
