Default Replacement carb for 8N

Has anyone here replaced the carb on an 8N ???

I have the original M-S and the shafts are worn to the point
that air is being sucked in around them.
Last year I put a new kit in it but, now it runs worse.
After 66 years it may be time for a new one.

The online prices run from $39 to over $300 and the photos
all look the same. Probably all from the same mold cavity.

Hi The vintage tractor world is huge, full of very good rebuilders. Just find a group or a publication about them. Newc

Stay away from the new repro's lots of issues with them, see if you can find a good used original. You also might try sending a pm CharlyNy on this forum see what he says.

In almost all aspects of our older cars and tractors.
The original parts and NOR are far superior to what's being reproduced today.
Most things are serviceable. Finding the source of the NOS, NOR parts and the fellas that specializes in servicing parts is where it's at in this hobby.
In my opinion in getting things back to correct that is.
