Default Leaking Oil while engine runs

Hopefully this photo is attached. I have oil leaking from a small hole in flywheel housing(?). It leaks when running but stopped when engine turned off. This car (30 pickup) has a later ('39) transmission, so I am not sure if I am looking at a 1930 portion of the transmission or the 39. Any help appreciated.

I would guess that the drain tube on the rear main is wither missing or it's plugged - or the passageway that the pipe fits into is plugged.

Rear main be have excessive clearance from wear also. Check the clearance

John,
Make SURE it's not GEAR OIL. A friend had his engine out 3 times, fussin' around with the rear main, BEFORE he discovered it was TRANSMISSION OIL!

I have a 39 trans and the leak you see is likely from the rear bearing, but check to make sure it is engine oil, not trans oil like Bill says. Check oil level first. Recent thread on this.

That hole should also have a large cotter pin to shake and keep the oil and dirt from plugging the hole.
