Default 1950 Hood Closure

Hi All,
Have had the nose of my 50 Tudor for repairs, in adjusting fenders aligning the hood I am finding that I am unable to get the hood to latch with the main latch mechanism. Looks to be a tad out of alignment and the latch pin will not go through the latch plate.
Any thoughts or tips?

Thanks, Steve

Have adjusted a few by using a block of wood and hammer to move the pin in the direction it has to go to enter the latch.
You are actually bending the underlying sheet metal that the pin is attached to. (or should be)

Yes I did the same thing in my 48 by placing a piece of pipe over the pin and levering it in the right direction.
