I have my 30 or early 31 posted for sale for $5000 B/O and there does not seem to be much interest. Looking for opinions of the car and what you think its worth. Thank you

Does it have all the window trim etc. How is the wood?

While the price might be a draw back, might be high considering the condition it is in now, the bigger one is having to deal with paper work from previous owner. Get it in your name.

It does run and drive the previous owner was daily driving it.

I have boxes of parts with it I believe it to be nearly complete

The body wood was replaced at one time and is in great condition

the wood in 3 of the doors is in good shape 1 door needs some wood replaced

I will work on getting it in my name asap.

Thanks

Model A’s don’t move to fast. Try also AACA. But 5K sounds about right if the wood has been replaced and the under carriage is solid.

Other suggestion would be to take it outside and get good clear shots from all sides, front back top bottom left right. Lay the small parts out and take pictures of them, so buyers might see what all is included. Something to remember, when an ad is placed on Fordbarn or any other site besides maybe Craigs list or your local paper, it's national not just local. So maybe say if you are willing to work with the buyers shipper for pickup.

Include pics of all fender. Fordors may be less desirable than other body styles, although wit new wood already installed, it may not make it so?

The running board apron identifies it as a 1930. If you have all the trim pieces, the glass, the seats, etc plus a good title, in my area $5000 would be top dollar. It is a project car which appeals to fewer buyers than a complete driver.

First thing, you need better pictures.

Look at how the pictures are structured on a pro car brokers web sight and do the same.

Good paper in your name is important these days.

That's allot of work for 5,000. depending on where you live as to how far someone would have to ship it to them as that cost allot of money these days, as I wouldn't buy it because of the shipping as I know the price is allot.

But 5,000. isn't bad if you have all of the part's to the car and if there's not that much rust on it, as I myself have been looking for a 4 door but the way you have that posted is keeping me from even looking at it I did look at it.

But you don't even list the part's that go with or don't go with it as I would need to see all of the part's that go with it, and a list of all of the part's that go with it would do you allot.

Good luck selling the car

I was not planning on selling the car and used some pictures I had to get it listed. I do agree the add could be better I guess I just figured any one interested in it would ask questions or if close enough come check it out.

I will work on your suggestions

Thank you

Even if you are doing the work yourself that's still allot of work as that car looks like it needs allot of body work, I just hope it's all straight for you as if it's not then you have to replace all of it or pound it all out.

As I have one in about that shape and it's been more than 25 years and it's still not even close to being done, As I've been doing allot of other things so the car had to wait allot of time.

But all in all it looks like you have more work than I do, but do you have all of the part's for the car, and is it in your name if not get it in your name before you even touch the car.

From what I have read before you don't have it in your name, so get it in your name before you touch it or else it might slap you in the ass and in court as I've seen that happen before.

But here's something you should buy before you go to far with it's Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook Vol.1 by Les Andrews, and another one to get is the service bulletins I would suggest getting all of them.

Or the one in book form it's a green book there's also a yellow one but that one is a smaller one, and harder to read as I have both and the green one they only print once in awhile as it might be out of print already.

Than you will have to buy the Chicago, Indianapolis, and Fargo these books you have to buy through the M.A.C.A or the M.A.R.C. Clubs, either one of those are good clubs but you will have to go on the internet to get the phone #'s for them.

Best of Luck Reggiedog
