Default 1947 ford panel questions

Hey Guys
I just brought home a ford panel from a farmers field . I need wheels I have bolt guides but searched online to find what is the standard pattern for this truck?. I expected a flathead but its a 6 cylinder I was trying to hardscrabble some information on this motor from you experts or a place to look. I sold my 1940 pickup but still have my 1936

Go easy on me as I'm just trying to find my way around on these old relics. I hope someday we can have a ford gathering near me and meet/greet all the great folks here on ford barn

The bolt pattern is 5 on 5 1/2, just like your '40. Truck and/or car rims ('40 - '48 car) and truck can go up into the '60's if you don't want the original hub caps.

I believe the wheel stud patten is 5 on 5-1/2, a lot of pickups had that wheel up into the late trucks. It's not hard to replace the 6 for a V8, the transmission with have to be changed also, The gears are the same but the bolt patten is different. Accually the 6 is a good engine stock but if your looking for V8 hi compression heads and maybe dual carbs to pretty up the engine compartment you cain't get that stuff for a 6. Walt

Thanks Walt and Vic.

Last question I found one YouTube video on this same 6 cylinder where might I found more info on the motor which carbuerator she needs? My grandad had pictures of himself his 40 pickup and his meat market 5 cent steak dinner ~ wish I could buy you all a steak dinner with him.

Respectfully submitted

There is some 'speed equipment' aka eye candy available for the Ford Flathead I-6. I think Patrick's, in Arizona (Google) sells some.
