Default 1940 3/4 t vs 1/2 ton whats the difference?

Hey Guys

I got a halfton bought some used fenders and my hood /fenders dont fit together as well as i would expect

The only conclusion i can gather is my fenders are 3/4 ton and my hood is 1/2 ton.

Whats the difference in the 2

without posting a picture of what you bought it could be assumed that you purchased chevy stuff.

Dick i thought u would have the answers i was looking for.

I have a running 1938 chevy pickup a 1934 plymouth a 1931 chevy a 1936 ford pickup a 1937 ford truck a 1946 chevy pickup etc i know the difference my friend thanks

40 1/2 and 3/4 ton share very little other than the doors and engine. The 3/4 ton used the same fenders as 1-ton and 1-1/2 ton trucks. The 1/2 ton used a very similar fender to 40 passenger car...which are very different from truck fenders.

you could have car fenders-can be altered to work but do not fit on truck cab like truck fenders
