Default help with Mallory Unilite Distributor

I just purchased a Mallory Unilite and discovered it is 12 volt only. Not wanting to convert to 12 volts, I went to Holley's web site and discovered I can buy new points, condenser, and rotors for this unit. The only issue is that the unilite setup does not have a point cam on the shaft. Can I add a cam? where do I get one? Holley does not seem to offer one...

Don't know anything about them. Does it say 12 volts?

It doesn't. Everything I've read indicates 12 volt supply is required.

You could get a 6V to 12V converter.

I would try and use points and condenser. I currently have a unilite and it starts fine but won't run under full throttle. I know of others that have had trouble with unilite.

I wonder if it could be converted to pertronix, they have 6 volt units.
