Default Looking for Model A Car Club In So Cal

Hello fellow Model A'ers.

My family and I are looking to join a local Model A car club in Southern California particularly in the area of Ontario, California. We've emailed a couple in the area to ask about joining but they do not respond. We are already members of MAFCA. Can any of you point us in the direction of an active local Model A car club in our area?

Thanks, guys!!

There is a model A club that meets in Ontario at the Round Table Pizza,1020 N. Mountain Ave on the first Monday of the month.Their web sight is www.pvmafc.com. One of my customers is a member and invited me to a meeting.Nice group of people.I have little spare time and spend it trying to finish my 30 Tudor restoration so I my join that club when I get my A back on the road.

What better time to join a club then when you have work to be done on an A. Sounds like labor for the cost of a couple of pizza's and soda.

Life sometimes gets in the way of answering. It took me several calls to get a response from a local club when I wanted to join 11 years ago.

After I bought my Model A, and before it arrived, I contacted MAFCA. About a week later I received a call from our local club representative, who happens to live 2 blocks from me!

Carl
I'm surprised you hadn't sniffed them out!!
I know every time the hairs on my neck stand up unexpectedly I sniff the air real hard and start looking around closely for signs of a Model A.

I knew there were Model A's in the neighborhood, had seen them driving down my street, just didn't know where they were coming from. (I live on a feeder street, so I get all sorts of traffic that's not necessarily local). That's why I contacted MAFCA in the beginning. I really didn't know whether or not there was a club here.

Hi Flipp,
I've been a member of Pomona Valley Model A club for about 5 years. It would be great if you could join us. I've been working on Dennis as well. Its a great group we have members that go back 30 years with the club. Give me a call 909-238-5466.

Just a little friendly ribbing
My wife says I can smell an old car 3 blocks away behind a closed garage door

Funny, I just started looking around for the same thing. I've been driving my A's in Riverside for 25 years now, and just thought I'd see who else is around. Let me know how you find things in Pomona. It's a bit of a drive in an A from Riverside, but I'd be willing to check it out too.

Brobrian,

The Paradise Valley Model A Ford club is in Riverside. Their Web site is: http://www.pvmac.org/ Their President is Ron Blackwell., he's also a member of Pomona Valley. Our clubs do events together. We would enjoy having at Pomona Valley, but the Riverside club is in your backyard. I really like the club memberships and interaction with other clubs its great camaraderie.

Flipp,
If you are free on April 27th drive down to the city of Orange, about 20 miles or so from Ontario, for the Orange County Model A club's annual pancake breakfast. All the clubs in Southern Calif will be there along with lots and lots of Model A's. Great Breakfast, great time!
