1940 Jack Storage
Where in the trunk of a '40 Tudor was the jack originally stored? I'm assuming that the base went in the tool bag with the other stuff, but what about the mechanism and shaft?

Re: 1940 Jack Storage
I believe that the jack was stored in a burlap bag and placed in the tool compartment in trunk

Re: 1940 Jack Storage
Doesn't the base help to secure the spare in place?

Re: 1940 Jack Storage
There's a dedicated clamp at the top of the spare which holds it in place. I'm guessing that the jack just lays in the tool compartment, but I want to make sure that it doesn't clamp in place somewhere.

Re: 1940 Jack Storage
Thanks Kube. Does anyone make that burlap bag or what approximate size is it? My car is modified a bit with some hot rod parts, but I still like to keep these details reasonably correct for some reason.

He sells all the tools in a kit and also each piece individually. You can get the burlap bag as well as the vinyl wrench pouch. |

Yep, Like Spiker says... Lin. VERY nice man and great to deal with. He'll most likely have any and all tools you may need to complete your kit.
