Default Model A Ford cast iron Brake-drum Rings

So I am cleaning up and out the barn and came across the brake drum rings. I was wondering if they are original or aftermarket . Theses came out of a very old collection and really didn't have a lot anything new repop stuff. So I am not going to use them but I need to know if they are old new or just junk. Also what is the single ring for? Thanks

Definitely old but just like the new ones available today. Not cast iron but mild steel rolled and butt welded. I have seen lots put on so they must work well. Follow the installation instructions for new ones and have the drums turned after the rings are installed.

Like James says, they are old. The ones in the center picture are like the ones that are still offered. I use this style on two of my model A's and they really help. The rings in the last picture are also brake drum bands. I have one of these rings on a front model A drum that I got in a collection and it is the only one of its type that I have ever seen. I think that the single ring style is older.

I thought all the bands are steel and am I correct in thinking these bands are for steel drums only ?

Yes, ....too small to fit the cast iron drums, --which are not really needed on the cast-iron drums anyway.

Thank you for the help, I wasn't 100% on rings and plan on listing them in the for sale ads and didn't want to misrepresent them .
