Cleaning corrosion off of NOS radiator core
Okay, It's a chebby core, but it should be the same. I have a NOS 37-39 Chevy radiator core that has been in the original box all these years. I cut the box open and it is "white" with corrosion. It's pretty, but it ain't right. How is the best way to remove the corrosion ? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.

Rinse it off with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Followed with good water flush, then blow with air. Thats how i would tackle it. Phil NZ |

Phil NZ I agree. I’ve used vinegar along with iodized salt to take chemical buildup off of brass and copper items over the years. Works good and its cheap. |

And there are sets with a cleaner/flush/corrosion protection. Might cost a bit more then going for an acid...but should be safe.. |
