Re: blue dot tail lights
Leave your tail lights stock, much more attractive.

Re: blue dot tail lights
At one time, they were illegal, in some states. You, probably, won't get stopped, nowdays.

Re: blue dot tail lights
They may look cool to some folks, but I had to remove mine after getting stopped by the law in Dawsonville, Georgia because all the officer could see was mostly the blue color, and very little red, coming from my rear running/brake lights. I now have another car that came with blue dot taillights and they will also be coming off in favor of the original all red lenses. I probably have three sets of these blue dot taillights that I won't be needing. If anyone would like to buy a set....let me know.

Re: blue dot tail lights
I remember following a friend one night several years ago that had them on the back of his '34. We probably went eight or ten miles. Looking at those things actually made me feel nauseous by the time we got to our destination. DD

Here in Ontario the blue dots are illegal, so is the 1\4 covers that are for the headlights. the fines are $120 for each, Jack.

Re: blue dot tail lights
Like the other guys said, they are worthless. They look good on a dark night but during the day, you are living on the edge!

Re: blue dot tail lights
Hi there, Blue dots appear to reduce the light output somewhat especially on the stoplights at night. Other ordinary drivers following behind wonder what the hell they are looking at. Dangerous in my book. I think they are a 1950s invention and never on pre war cars. Illegal in some states. Ordinary red rear lights much safer and look better in my opinion. Regards, Kevin.

Re: blue dot tail lights
I once read that blue dots first appeared on Duesenburgs as stock equipment. Can't prove that as none of my friends own one.

Re: blue dot tail lights
I might be in the minority but, I love Blue Dots and I've run them on most of my Flatheads for almost 50 years, and I've never been pulled over or gotten a traffic ticket because I was running blue dots...

Re: blue dot tail lights
Cops motorcycles in California have blue rear lights. So the other cops know who there chasing through traffic at night.
