"Come See the Paradise" was filmed in Portland, OR, using local cars, mine included.

Silvertop,
Glad you didn't hold your breath Endured half of "So, I'm Not An Angel," with Mae West, no Model A's, just a corny plot with an overweight old broad.

Not a movie & not quite into the Model A years just yet, but HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" series does a fantastic job of depicting what the streets were filled with in the early to mid 20's - dirty, old, banged-up cars & trucks and a huge variety that look era-correct. Maybe this upcoming season will get into the late 20's and they'll include some A's

My favorite is still "WIND AT MY BACK". Ya just gotta love Grace, and of course, the cars of the era are awesome.

I did the Untouchables. They had painters with spray cans of "dirt." Constantly going around spraying it on cars that were to clean.

Here's a classic Laurel and Hardy sketch with a few Model A's in it:

O Brother Where Art Thou? mentioned earlier has to the the best! Watch it just for the barn scene near the beginning... truly a classic. It makes you believe you are in the Depression where there aren't many rules. Includes a killer soundtrack ripe with era specific feel.

When they hoist the Model A from the water in "Fried Green Tomatoes," notice that it has NO engine, and that area is covered with a piece of tin from somebody's chicken coop! Bill W's Ghost.

EPA probably put a stop to that. Where I live there used to be an annual contest to guess the day and time the junk car would fall though the ice on the old mill pond. That ended about 20 years ago, even though the car had no engine and the fluids were all drained.

Between the lawyers, insurance companies, and government, you just can't have any fun anymore!

I could make that my retirement job. "Official Time Keeper", as long as they provided the stop watch and the lawn chair.

If I’m not mistaken, The Three Stooges had plenty of model A's in its episodes. I even saw a poster of them with Curley posing, working on one with hammers and a pipe wrench I believe. I wish I knew which episode that was......

Bloody Mama (1970) starring Shelley Winters very loosely based on Ma Barker and sons. Shown the last couple of days on TV.
