Default 36 bumper thickness for trunkback convertibles sedan

Question 1---I have two thickness of front bumper outside support brackets for the passenger side, approx.1/4" and 3/8". Are the reproduction 1/4 and the original Ford 3/8? The inside bracket is 1/4. This is for a 36 trunkback conv. sedan. If it is 3/8 then I would need one for the drivers side. Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Question 2---This is for the above car also. Is there a rubber pad that installs between the rear bumper bracket and car?

Question 1: The inner brackets for both sides "question mark shape" are 1/4". These brackets are flat. Both side outer brackets "long L shape" are 3/8". The outer brackets do have a slight radius or groove over part of the bracket, but are flat on both ends.

Question 2: I do not believe there was a pad for the rear bumper bracket to the body. I did add a thin rubber pad for my car, could not see advantage of paint on paint connection.
