well, the body met the frame today like they were old friends. lots of work to do yet before a test drive, but fun to see it in one piece. i had hoped to do more body work before they met, but sadly i have to move forward. i start back to work soon, until late fall and i hope it to be my last year, then clean up 42 years of my mess so i can sell and move out of the frozen swamp. so for now, it will stay in primer like a real jalopy should, and soon there will be a loose nut behind the wheel with a big grin on his face. i know Kube and David g and others, will probably get a stomach ache at the sight of it, but its payback because when i see the perfection some of our guys here do it makes my head spin. so...here's MY jalopy, i am excited!!

tinker, i actually like them with a slight chop, i would not have turned down a good chopped body when i was shopping, but i would never do it to a stock body, i just couldnt. i really dont like the current trend of the extreme Bonneville style chop. i am shooting for something a kid might have had in about 1950, not to high tech, a jalopy, and this car could still be restored when i am toes up

I get it man. I like heavy chopped rods also. But you rarely ever see a unchopped 3w. Probably why I like east coast rods. Heavy channel no chop.

Nice! A little top chop, some water pipe roll bar, a 3/4 ton rear axle, belt the doors shut, and you're all set to go racing at Jackson Speedway, about 1950-1960!!
