Default windshield tape

I'm installing a new windshield on my 31 Roadster and wondering if anyone has used this tape https://www.bobdrake.com/glasssettingtape and how well it worked.

I don't know anything about roadsters, but I do know about a 29 ccaa truck windshield install. The Model A suppliers sell bedding tape .048 thick, it was a snug fit, my frame was sandblasted, primer and paint, used soap and water to lube, used a bar clamp and a piece of wood with a slot cut in it the width of the glass, what a pain it was.
carry on

You might as well use the correct stuff. Mitch on one of the other forums and sells some setting material that looks pretty close to the original stuff. I would use his instead.

If your frame is getting thin, you may want to take it to a glass man and have him silicon it in.
It will help hold it all togther.

Not original, but a bit like those new ceramic tooth fillings that are carved from a block and glued in, and hold your tooth together. And they taste better than the old ones made from mercury.

That is Mitch that is selling it in that auction. I mentioned contacting him in post #3. He is the Administrator of the Forum that is mentioned in the eBay listing.
