Default 1953 Sun Distributor Machine - schematic

I have a 1953 Sun dist. machine - it works (turns on.) I also have the operators manual however, there is no wiring schematic. I want to check out the unit, replace parts, before I really use it.
Thanks

There's a guy on ebay who sells manuals on cd's. He also has a Sun tester club which helps people with their machines. . If I find his email I will send it.

We have obtained parts for our two Sun machines from Masters. (800)385-5811. They buy, sell, and repair most equipment.

Paramount has a capacitor replacement kit and also sells a retro fit to replace the neon/xenon/whatevernon flash with LEDs. He's the one to talk to. Which model is it? Any pics?

Do you have the flathead adaptor for it? If so, mount a Dist. run it. It is a great learning experience and you will see if everything works. I have two from 1948 and had to do little and they both work good.lf it is making a rumbling sound when turning there is a small hard rubber wheel that drives the turntable and it gets flat spots on it from lack of use. Pretty easy machine to work on.

I had a Sun distributor machine that i didn't use very often, but it worked great. One day walked passed it and saw the Tac gauge was black and the other one Brown. I haden't used it for several weeks, but it was plugged in.
When I opened the back EVERYTHING was chareg black. sometime in the past few weeks it burned up when nobody waz around.
Now I just have an old battery and coild system and my Tac, dwell meter. Even the strobe works. coulda lost the whole dam place.
