Default Windshield problem

We are restoring a 1930 Cabriolet and ran into a problem with the windshield. We are beginning think the windshield that was on the car may not have been the original? The bracket on the sides of the windshield that the swing arm attaches to hits the vertical garnish trim on each side of the car and will not let the windshield close. The attached photo shows the swing arm attached to the windshield frame and the large gap between the end of swing arm and windshield bracket it is suppose attach to. The gap is 9/16" on each side.
Does anyone have any ideas which year or make of car this windshield may have came from?

Has anyone ever tried to replace the windshield bracket with one with correct design?
Thanks

Thanks for the response. We thought it might be because it did have rumble seat latch in the 28-29 position.

Steve is correct. I hope you didn't have it plated.

Besides the swing arms brackets, are there other differences between the 29 and 30 windshield?

Yes, we have invested in plating and a new safety glass before we found out it was not correct for our 1930!!!
If the swing arm brackets are the only difference, we are thinking about making some custom brackets that let the windshield close without hitting the vertical garnish trim.

you can drill out the brackets and replace them with the 30-31 they are easy to do.
the inside gets painted low gloss black.
