Electric Fuel Pump and Regulator?
Can anyone recommend a good Fuel pump and Regulator for a downdraft Stromberg?

Re: Electric Fuel Pump and Regulator?
I have 2 Holley 12 volt pumps that deliver the correct pressure and volume when I run them on 5 volts in my 1950 Studebaker.
Carter is also another good brand, and I have a 6 volt Carter, which is also a rotary pump with all metal parts. |

Re: Electric Fuel Pump and Regulator?
If you are running 12 volts, the Facet cube pump works well and does not nee a regulator.
I think I am running the #40163 with my single Stromberg 97. Pump is mounted on the chassis rail. See http://www.facet-purolator.com/cube-fuel-pumps.php |

Re: Electric Fuel Pump and Regulator?
Remember, these pumps call for a filter BEFORE the pump intake.

Re: Electric Fuel Pump and Regulator?
Why not run a 12-volt pump on your 6-volt system? This way you may not need the regulator.

Re: Electric Fuel Pump and Regulator?
I am using an Airtex fuel pump and Holley regulator to feed dual downdraft carbs on a hopped-up Model A. The Airtex pump is available for six-volt positive ground as part number E8902 which will deliver 80 gallons per hour at 2.5-4 PSI. The pumps are available from Airtex online. The Holley regulator will regulate pressures down to 1-4 PSI which covers the recommended fuel pressure for your Stromberg carb. The regulator is available from Summit Racing as part number HLY-12-804 for just under $30.00. The regulator has multiple outlet ports so it is easy to include a fuel pressure gauge with your installation. My Airtex pump is fairly new but seems to be working well; I replaced a Holley pump of higher capacity that was quite noisy. The regulator has been doing its job since 2009 with no problems. Hope this info helps.
